As The Fall season quickly comes over the state of Indiana Hoosiers everywhere are getting out to enjoy all the festivities the state has to offer.
For years’ people have enjoyed going to local farms and Orchards and partaking in the activities available to them including apple picking pumpkin patches corn mazes and enjoying a variety of apple and pumpkin flavored snacks and treats.
In New Castle, Indiana, there is a small family-owned Orchard called Jacobs Orchard. It is visited by families, college students, and community members who venture from all over to partake in the activities Jacobs has to offer and has offered for the last 16 years.
Stephanie Jacobs. The daughter of Jacob's Orchard owners says that her favorite part of working at the orchard is the customers, she said she enjoys “seeing all of the customers come in and enjoy all of things we do.”
Tricia Bardel a year-round worker at the orchard likes her job and enjoys gardening the most because it's rewarding to see her work out for sale for the customers. She fully enjoys working in the green house and gardens to support the market and make the customers happy with fresh food options.
Along with all the Jacobs Orchard employees, their work is enjoyed by many others like Kailey Sherman.
“I also really like the hayride especially if you go on it with friends” Sherman said.
Whether it be the community members or coworkers people all over the state are setting out to enjoy all the fall festivities.
