Holiday cheer is being brought to Delaware County from a unique partnership between 2 Ball State University departments. This year, the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse is partnering with the David Owsley Museum of Art to host a Holiday Open House.

It is the museum’s first year collaborating with the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse for their holiday event, Holiday in Bloom, according to Tania Said, director of the educational programs at the David Owsley Museum of Art.

DOMA decorates for the holidays every year, but this year is unique. The event will have several activities inspired by their current special exhibit, “Gorey’s World.”

Visitors will be able to participate in several Gorey related crafts and activities, such as decorating their own Gorey-inspired holiday cards or their own Gorey trading cards.

The event is Saturday, December 1st from 6 to 9 p.m. Refreshments are provided, along with a meet and greet with Santa Clause.
